Opening with an inviting interplay of guitar and keyboard, the smooth voice of new lead singer, Jimi Jamison provides the embrace needed to reel in any fan of AOR. Drums and electric guitar slowly intrude on the sound and drives the song along. I love how the song evolves and peaks at the end. This goes for both the instruments and the harmony vocals.
The touch of having the guitar playing the main melody before entering a solo and then later having the keyboard doing the same thing is a definite Jim Peterik trademark and it works. This is AOR perfection and one of my favorite Survivor songs.
