even on a Christmas day"

One Word Review: Peaceful

This album brought back fond memories of discovering Damian's Disciple album for the first time. Weir Keeper's Tale has that same tenderness to it, and it brought out many of the same feelings. This is a collaboration between Damian Wilson and Adam Wakeman, and it feels as if they poured their souls into the album and had a good time, all the while.

The music is laid back, with mostly just piano and acoustic guitar. Clearly, that is all you need with these two guys. Their harmonies ring true and they create a wide array of emotions and atmospheres, as they bring the lyrics to life. Damian's vocals are often stunning and in his own special way, he brings a sense of truth to everything he sings.

Freedom is Everything is my favorite song of the album. What I get from it, is a strong sense of fulfillment and peace, a feeling of reaching a mental journey's end, and it is one of those songs that can be felt deeply and profoundly.

Overall, Weir Keeper's Tale is a sweet, special album. Hopefully they will make more of these.
