Quick Review

I discovered this show by chance on Netflix and was pleasantly surprised to find an extremely funny and quite clever show about gaming. The show is set in the "silly future" where gaming has evolved quite a bit. A chance encounter and a lot of luck gets Brian admitted to the prestigious Video Game High School and the moment he steps in that door the clichés are lined up and fragged in the most hilarious way.

Though it is not perfect, loads of small touches spark the show with a fondness and charm. Special nods go to Brian Firenzi as The Law, who delivers a seriously funny performance and the racing fanatics, who imbue everyone of their scenes with a special atmosphere.

The show is a web series and the first two seasons were funded on Kickstarter. A third season was funded on Indiegogo and was released back in October. I will be watching the third season soon, but for the time being just know that you should check this out if you have a passing interest in computer games and a sense of humor. Highly entertaining and very funny.

Season 3 update

After watching Season 3 I only have one thing to say: This whole series is just monumentally silly, but strangely satisfying.
